- Unbolt engine cover panel.
- Remove upper section of air cleaner and set aside.
- Remove lower section of air cleaner.
- Remove oil pressure switch and install adapter V.A.G 1342/3 in its place.
- Install V.A.G 1342 into adapter V.A.G 1342/3.
- Install oil pressure switch in V.A.G 1342.
- Install lower section of air cleaner.
- Install upper section of air cleaner.
- Start engine.
- Engine oil temperature must be at least 80°C (176°F).

OIL PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS
Note. If the oil pressure is excessively high (for example if pressure relief valve is sticking or has been installed incorrectly) the hydraulic lifters will jam. The engine will cut out soon after starting. When you try to start the engine again you will notice that the engine turns over too quickly due to lack of compression.
