APPLICATION OF GROUND CLEARANCES (SETTING DIMENSIONS) FOR SUSPENSION
Scheme 272
Scheme 273
- Raise vehicle (rear axle suspension fully extended).
- Insert special tool T40002 into production mounts at rear (arrow).
- Turn both knurled screws such that rubber bead in mount is compressed and special tool remains in position.
- Lower vehicle NOTE: Vehicle must be standing on a level surface. Only on AWD models
- Move vehicle forward and backward approx. 3 feet and bounce rear of vehicle to eliminate wind-up of rear axle tires.
- Refer to table to check clearance dimension (specified jacking points/shop floor) and repeat basic setting if necessary in the event of deviation. Make allowance for determined deviation at special tool T40002. If vehicle is too low, increase setting dimension (refer to «APPLICATION OF GROUND CLEARANCES (SETTING DIMENSIONS) FOR SUSPENSION»(ref-196275-S05414350002005100800000) table) by this amount.
Basic setting must be performed if: control module, angle sensor or entire unit is replaced.
Setting is performed for drive position.
