Remove backrest panel

  1. Two section backrest cover. Refer to «BACKREST COVER (SECTION TWO)»(/audi/a4/b8-2007-2012/remont/seats/#seat-frames-sedan__backrest-cover-section-two) .
  2. One section backrest cover. Refer to «BACKREST COVER (SECTION ONE)»(/audi/a4/b8-2007-2012/remont/seats/#seat-frames-sedan__backrest-cover-section-one) .

Adjust the lumbar support to the highest curve while moving the slider -1- all the way down -arrow A-.

Note. Ignore -2-.

Disconnect the connector -1-.

Carefully tilt the backrest fan -2- out of the backrest upholstery -arrow-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following

  1. The mounting eyelets on the fan housing -1- face up and down.
  2. Place the wire -2- into the gap in the backrest cushions -arrow- facing outward.

Make sure the backrest lumber support spring plate is seated correctly.
