Work sequence
- Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051. Refer to «VAS 5051 vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system, connecting and selecting functions»(/audi/a4/b6-2000-2006/remont/blowers-superchargers-turbochargers/#18l-4-cyl-5v-turbo-engine-controls-fuel-injection-ignition-engine-codes-amb__vas-5051-vehicle-diagnostic-testing-and) and select vehicle system "01 -Engine electronics" in selection.
Engine must be run at idle.

- Under -1- select diagnostic function "08 - Read measured value block".

1 - Enter display group
- Enter "086" for "display group number 086" in zone -2- and confirm entry by pressing -Q- button.

- Check indication in display field -1-.
- Check readiness code in display zone -1-.

Note on display zone 1
Display zone 1 is the most important. This display indicates which system has been checked by the self-diagnosis since the last time the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory was erased or since installation of a new control module. After erasing the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, all testable values are set to "1" and then to "0" after successful completion of the test.

- Press <-- button.
- Check Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory to check. Refer to «Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, checking»(/audi/a4/b6-2000-2006/remont/blowers-superchargers-turbochargers/#18l-4-cyl-5v-turbo-engine-controls-fuel-injection-ignition-engine-codes-amb__diagnostic-trouble-code-dtc-memory-checking) (there must not be any stored DTCs).
If specified value is not obtained
