Front Bumper Audi 90 B4

WARNINGDO NOT re-use any fasteners that are worn or deformed in normal use. Many fasteners are designed to be used only once and become unreliable and may fail when used a second time. This includes, but is not limited to, nuts, bolts, washers, self-locking nuts or bolts, circlips, cotter pins.

Removal

  1. Remove fog lights. See «FOG LIGHTS»(ref-122049-S30655258182004020900000).
  2. Remove retaining clip. (Scheme 12)
  3. Remove trim.
  4. Remove bolts with washer.
  5. Unclip bumper ends from guide piece.
  6. Remove bumper ends downward and out of guide piece.
  7. Pry bumper ends over wheel opening and remove toward front.

Installation

Note. Bumper ends must be pushed as far as possible up to wheel opening. They may be adjusted in or out by turning the inside tube of impact absorber. One turn of tube will alter distance 0.039 in (1.0 mm). After adjustment trim strips must be adjusted to fit bumper.

Install bumper in reverse order of removal. Carefully pry bumper over edge of wheel opening. Guide bumper onto impact absorbers and into guide piece.

  1. Remove headlight housing mounting bracket screws. (Scheme 13)and (Scheme 14).
  2. Disconnect headlight and parking light harness connectors. Remove headlight assembly.

Install front headlight in reverse order of removal. Tighten to bolts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS. After installing headlight assemblies, check headlight adjustment. To adjust headlights. (Scheme 15)
