Front Bumper Removal/Installation
Note. Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the front bumper. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the front bumper or the body. When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

- Remove the front bulkhead cover (see «FRONT BULKHEAD COVER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/zdx/i-2009-2013/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#exterior-trim__front-bulkhead-cover-replacement) ).
- Remove the bolts (A, B, C), the screws (D), and the clips (E, F, G) securing the front bumper (H). NOTE: To release the clips E, pry up on the center pin at the notch (I).
- Release the front bumper strake (A) from the front air guide plate (B) on both sides.
- Pull out the front bumper (A) at both wheel arch areas to release it from the hooks (B) on both side spacers (C).
- With the help of an assistant, pull both sides of the front bumper (A) away from the side spacers (B). Then pull out the bumper to release the hooks (C) from the upper beams (D).
- Remove the front bumper (A). While holding up the bumper with the help of an assistant, disconnect the fog light connectors (B). For some models: Disconnect the headlight washer tube (C). Release the projection (D).
- If necessary, release the hooks (A), then remove the front bumper absorber (B) from the front bumper beam (C).
- Install the bumper in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Make sure each connector is plugged in properly, and if equipped, the headlight washer tube is connected properly. Make sure the front bumper engages the hooks (on the upper beams and the side spacers) on each side securely. Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
Front Bumper Lower Mesh Replacement

- Remove the fog light (see «FOG LIGHT REPLACEMENT»(/acura/zdx/i-2009-2013/remont/exterior-lights/#exterior-lights) ).
- For some models: Remove the headlight washer tube as needed (see «HEADLIGHT WASHER»(/acura/zdx/i-2009-2013/remont/wiperwasher-systems/#wiper-system-washer-system) ).
- Remove the screws from back of the front bumper (A), and release the hooks (B) (nine places) and the tabs (C), then remove the front bumper lower mesh (D) and the front bumper lower housing (E) as an assembly.
- Release the hooks (A) (10 places), then remove the front bumper lower mesh (B) from the front bumper lower housing (C).
- Install the lower mesh in the reverse order of removal, and push the hooks and the tabs into place securely.
Rear Bumper Removal/Installation
Note. Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the rear bumper. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the rear bumper or the body. When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

- Remove the taillight (see «TAILLIGHT REPLACEMENT»(/acura/zdx/i-2009-2013/remont/exterior-lights/#exterior-lights) ).
- From the rear wheel arches on both sides, remove the screws securing the rear bumper (A).
- Remove the caps (A). Remove the bolts (B) and clips (C, D) securing the rear bumper (E).
- Pull on the rear bumper (A) at both wheel arch areas to release it from the hooks (B) on both side spacers (C).
- With the help of an assistant, pull out the rear bumper (A) to release the bumper from the hooks (B) on the upper brackets (C).
- If necessary, release the hooks (A), then remove the rear bumper spacer (B) from the rear bumper (C).
- Install the bumper in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Make sure the rear bumper engages the hooks (of both the side spacers) on each side securely. Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
Rear Bumper Lower Face Replacement

- Remove the bolts and the clips. Pry up the hooks (A) (14 places) with a trim tool, then remove the rear bumper lower face (B) from the rear bumper (C).
- Install the lower face in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
Rear Bumper Finisher Replacement
Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the rear bumper.

- Remove the nuts, then remove the rear bumper finisher (A) from the rear bumper (B).
- Install the finisher in the reverse order of removal.
Rear Bumper Reflector Replacement

- Release the hooks (A) and the pins (B), then remove the rear bumper reflector (C) from the rear bumper (D).
- Install the reflector in the reverse order of removal, and push the hooks and the pins into place securely.
