Front Air Guide Plate Replacement

Note. Take care not to scratch the body.

Scheme 3

1. Remove the bolts, and release the tabs (A) of the front bumper strakes (B), then remove the front air guide plate (C).
2. Install the plate in the reverse order of removal.

Front Bumper Strake Replacement

Note. Take care not to scratch the front bumper.

Scheme 4

1. Remove the bolts, and release the front bumper strake (A) from the front air guide plate (B), then remove the strake.
2. Install the strake in the reverse order of removal.

Front Inner Fender Replacement

Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body. When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

Scheme 5

1. Remove the front wheel (see «HUB BEARING UNIT REPLACEMENT»(/acura/zdx/i-2009-2013/remont/suspension-front/#front-suspension) ).
2. Remove the front inner fender (A). On the back of the wheel arch, remove the screws (B). From under the front bumper (C), remove the bolt (D) and detach the clips (E, F) securing the bumper and the inner fender. From under the bumper, detach the clips (G) securing the inner fender. From the wheel arch, remove the screw (H), and detach the clips (I) securing the inner fender and the bumper. From the wheel arch, detach the clips (J, K, L, M) securing the inner fender (and splash shield) to the body. NOTE: To release the clips E, G, F, M, pry up on the center pin at the notch (N).
3. Install the inner fender in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.

Front Splash Shield Replacement

Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body. When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

Scheme 6

1. Remove the front splash shield (A). Detach the clips (B) securing the front bumper (C) and the splash shield to the body. Detach the clips (D) securing the front inner fender (E) and the splash shield to the body. Detach the clips (F, G) securing the splash shield to the body. Detach the clips (H) securing the engine undercover (I) and the splash shield.
2. Install the splash shield in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.

Engine Undercover Replacement

Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body. When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

Scheme 7

1. Remove the bolts and the clips, then remove the engine undercover (A) from the front splash shield (B) and the front subframe (C).
2. Install the undercover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.

Front Fender Fairing Replacement

Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body.

Scheme 8

1. Remove the front inner fender (see «FRONT INNER FENDER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/zdx/i-2009-2013/remont/exterior-body-panels/#fenderwell__front-inner-fender-replacement) ).
2. Pull out the front fender fairing (A).
3. Install the fender fairing in the reverse order of removal.

Left Front Splash Guard Reinforcement Replacement

Note. Take care not to scratch the body.

Scheme 9

1. Remove these items: Front side sill panel, left side (see «SIDE SILL PANEL REPLACEMENT»(/acura/zdx/i-2009-2013/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#exterior-trim__side-sill-panel-replacement) ) Rear side sill panel, left side (see «REAR SIDE SILL PANEL»(/acura/zdx/i-2009-2013/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#exterior-trim__rear-side-sill-panel) )
2. Remove the bolts, then remove the left front splash guard reinforcement (A).
3. Install the reinforcement in the reverse order of removal.

Middle Floor Undercover Replacement

Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body.

1. Remove the middle floor strake (see «MIDDLE FLOOR STRAKE REPLACEMENT»(/acura/zdx/i-2009-2013/remont/exterior-body-panels/#fenderwell) ).
2. Remove the bolts and detach the clips, then remove the left middle floor undercover (A) and the right middle floor undercover (B). Left side Right side
3. Install the undercover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.

Scheme 12

1. Remove the bolts, then remove the middle floor strake (A) from the middle floor undercover (B).
2. Install the strake in the reverse order of removal.

Scheme 13

1. Remove the rear inner fender as needed (see «REAR INNER FENDER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/zdx/i-2009-2013/remont/exterior-body-panels/#fenderwell__rear-inner-fender-replacement) ).
2. Remove the screws and the clips, then remove the rear side sill strake (A) from the rear side sill panel (B).
3. Install the strake in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.

Rear Inner Fender Replacement

Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body or the related parts. When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

1. Remove the rear inner fender (A). From the front of the rear wheel arch, remove the screws (B) securing the inner fender and the rear side sill panel (C) or the rear side sill strake (D). From the rear of the rear wheel arch, remove the screws (E) securing the inner fender and the rear bumper (F). From the rear wheel arch, remove the bolts (G) and detach the clips (H, I). Left side: Release the fuel filler pipe tube (J) from the fuel fill door adapter (K) and the tube holders (L). Left side Right side
2. Install the inner fender in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: if the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Left side: Make sure the fuel filler pipe tube is installed securely. Push the clips into place securely.

Rear Air Outlet Replacement

Note. Take care not to scratch the body.

Scheme 16

1. Remove the rear bumper (see «REAR BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/zdx/i-2009-2013/remont/exterior-body-panels/#bumpers__rear-bumper-removalinstallation) ).
2. Release the hooks (A), then remove the rear air outlet (B).
3. Install the air outlet by pushing on the hook areas until the hooks snap into place.

BSI Cover Replacement - with BSI

Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body. When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

Scheme 17

1. Remove the rear bumper (see «REAR BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/zdx/i-2009-2013/remont/exterior-body-panels/#bumpers__rear-bumper-removalinstallation) ).
2. Remove the BSI cover (A). Left side: Release the harness holder (B). Detach the clip and remove the nut.
3. Install the cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clip is damaged or stress-whitened, replace it with a new one. Push the clip into place securely.
