Front Inner Fender Replacement
Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body.
Scheme 21
- Remove the front inner fender (A). On the back of the wheel arch, remove the screws (B), then remove the splash guard (C). From under the front bumper (D), remove the bolt (E) and clips (F) securing the front bumper and front inner fender. From the wheel arch, remove the screw (G) securing the front bumper. From the wheel arch, remove the clip (H) securing the front splash shield (I) and front inner fender, and remove the clips (J) securing the front inner fender on the body. Pull out the front inner fender.
- Install the inner fender in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.
Splash Shield Replacement
Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body.
Scheme 22
- Remove the splash shield (A). Remove the clips (B) that secure the front inner fender (C) and splash shield. From under the front bumper (D), remove the clips (E). From under the body, remove the clips (F) that secure the front undercover (G) and splash shield, and remove the clips (H) that secure the splash shield on the front suspension subframe (I). Pull the splash shield out.
- Install the splash shield in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.
Front Undercover Replacement
Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body.
Scheme 23
- Remove the bolts (A), and clips (B), then remove the front undercover (C) from the splash shield (D), front suspension subframe (E), and front subframe stiffener (F).
- Install the undercover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.
Front Strake Replacement
Note. Take care not to scratch the body.
Scheme 24
- Remove the bolts, then remove the front strake (A) from the front inner fender (B).
- Install the strake in the reverse order of removal.
Front Fender Fairing Replacement
Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body.
Scheme 25
- Remove the front inner fender as needed (see «FRONT INNER FENDER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/mdx/ii-2006-2010/remont/exterior-body-panels/#fenderwell__front-inner-fender-replacement) ).
- Pull out and remove the front fender fairing (A).
- Install the fender fairing in the reverse order of removal.
Scheme 26
- Remove these items: Left front inner fender, as needed (see «FRONT INNER FENDER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/mdx/ii-2006-2010/remont/exterior-body-panels/#fenderwell__front-inner-fender-replacement) ) Left side sill panel (see «SIDE SILL PANEL REPLACEMENT»(/acura/mdx/ii-2006-2010/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#exterior-trim__side-sill-panel-replacement) )
- Remove the bolts, then remove the left front splash guard reinforcement (A). Take care not to scratch the body.
- Install the reinforcement in the reverse order of removal.
Rear Fender Cover Replacement
Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. Take care not to scratch the body and related parts.

- Remove the rear fender cover (A). Remove the screw (B) that secure the fender cover and the rear strake (C) from the front of the rear wheel arch. Remove the screws (D, E) and clip (F) that secure the rear bumper (G) and fender cover from the rear of the rear wheel arch. Remove the bolts (H) and clip(s) (I) from the rear wheel arch. Pull out the rear fender cover. Left Right
- Install the fender cover in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.
Scheme 29
- Remove the screw (A) and clips (B), then remove the rear strake (C) from the rear fender cover (D) and side sill panel (E).
- Install the strake in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. Push the clips into place securely.
Scheme 30
- Remove the rear bumper (see «FRONT BUMPER SKID TRIM REPLACEMENT»(/acura/mdx/ii-2006-2010/remont/exterior-body-panels/#bumpers__front-bumper-skid-trim-replacement) ).
- Detach the hooks (A), then remove the rear air outlet (B). Take care not to scratch the body.
- Install the air outlet by pushing on the hook portions until the hooks snap into place.
