Removing components

Remove

1. the seat from the car. See «Lifting the front seats in and out»(ref-406997-S15373479402011102400000)
2. the lumbar support knob according to «Lumber support adjustment knob, replacing»(ref-406997-S03968708552011070100000)
3. the side piece: Pull straight out
4. the backrest adjustment knob. See «Backrest adjustment knob»(ref-406997-S33498255892011070100000) .

Fold the backrest or position the backrest in the forward folded position.

Slacken off the tension in lumbar support.

Remove the five half moon clips at the bottom edge of the backrest.

Remove the upholstery to the first lateral channel, two half moon clips for each front-rear channel.

Remove the upholstery completely.

Remove a half moon clip from each side in the front-rear channel.

Remove three half moon clips in the first lateral channel and two half moon clips in the upper channel.

Release two elastic attachments in the inside / rear side of the backrest.

Remove the three half moon clips on the inside / reverse of the backrest.

Pull off the backrest upholstery.

Scheme 227

Install the two 170 mm edge trims (1) on the vertical panel edges.

Start at the top of the panel edge.
