Level 2 = moderate increase in pollutant level.

Level 3 = rapid increase in pollutant level.

EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE

The value indicates the temperature from the evaporator temperature sensor. The value is used by the climate control module (CCM) to regulate activation of the air conditioning (A/C) compressor.

Measurement range -100°C-100°C.

With the ignition off and a cold engine, the value must correspond with the ambient temperature.

When the engine is running and the A/C is activated, the climate control module (CCM) will regulate the compressor as follows

  1. Compressor on at 10°C.
  2. Compressor off at 6°C.

DESIRED POSITION, DAMPER MOTOR, DEFROSTER

The value indicates how much the damper for the defroster should be open to correspond to the desired climate control. The climate control module (CCM) transmits the value to the damper motor module (DMM) defroster via the LIN bus.

Measurement range 0-100%.

100% is full capacity.

0% corresponds to a fully closed damper and 100% corresponds to a fully open damper.

Level 3 = rapid increase in pollutant level.

LOWER SWITCH NO. 1 (RIGHT)

The parameter indicates whether the climate control module (CCM) recognizes whether the button lower switch no. 1 (right) is pressed in or not.

The button is located on the tunnel console near the 12V power socket.

Not pressed = the button is not pressed in.

Pressed = the button is pressed in.

LOWER SWITCH STATUS NO. 1 (RIGHT)

Indicates whether the function is permitted according to the vehicle configuration or not.

The possible status' are

Not permitted = The vehicle configuration does not approve an option button that controls this function.

Permitted = The vehicle configuration approves an option button with this function.

LOWER SWITCH NO. 2 (LEFT)

The parameter indicates whether the climate control module (CCM) recognizes whether the button lower switch no. 2 is pressed in or not.

The button is located on the tunnel console to the left of switch no. 1

Not pressed = the button is not pressed in.

Pressed = the button is pressed in.

LOWER SWITCH STATUS NO. 2 (LEFT)

Indicates whether the function is permitted according to the vehicle configuration or not.

The possible status' are

Not permitted = The vehicle configuration does not approve an option button that controls this function.

Permitted = The vehicle configuration approves an option button with this function.

The value indicates the temperature from the evaporator temperature sensor. The value is used by the climate control module (CCM) to regulate activation of the air conditioning (A/C) compressor.

Measurement range -100°C-100°C.

With the ignition off and a cold engine, the value must correspond with the ambient temperature.

When the engine is running and the A/C is activated, the climate control module (CCM) will regulate the compressor as follows

  1. Compressor on at 10°C.
  2. Compressor off at 6°C.

The value indicates how much the damper for the defroster should be open to correspond to the desired climate control. The climate control module (CCM) transmits the value to the damper motor module (DMM) defroster via the LIN bus.

Measurement range 0-100%.

100% is full capacity.

0% corresponds to a fully closed damper and 100% corresponds to a fully open damper.

The value indicates how much the damper for the defroster is open. The climate control module (CCM) receives the value from the damper motor module (DMM) for the defroster via the LIN bus.

The value indicates the power supply to the climate control module (CCM).

Measurement range 0-50 V.

Normal value approximately 12 V (battery voltage).

The parameter indicates the value from the passenger compartment temperature sensor. The climate control module (CCM) uses the signal to regulate the climate in the passenger compartment in the AUTO position.

Measurement range -40- 90 °C.

The value must correspond to the ambient temperature.

ACTIVATING COMPONENTS

This function allows a number of components to be activated so that their functions can be checked. The following components can be activated

COMBUSTION FAN

Activating combustion fan.

There is a "buzzing sound" from the combustion fan when it is activated.

FUEL PUMP

Activating Fuel pump.

A ticking sound can be heard from the fuel pump when it is activated.

WARNINGFilling the fuel line should only be used when replacing the fuel line. If fuel is filled for an excessive amount of time, smoke may be generated or the heater may be damaged. However, it is necessary to fill the fuel line after it has been replaced. The combustion preheater module (CPM) only allows 10 start attempts for the heater. After replacing the fuel line, fill a diesel engine for a maximum of 8 minutes. After replacing the fuel line, fill a gasoline engine for a maximum of 8-10 minutes.

WATER PUMP

Activating water pump.

A buzzing sound can be heard from the water pump when it is activated.

HEATER SEQUENCE

Activation of heater sequence.

On activation of the heater sequence, the heater starts up and operates for approximately 2 minutes 30 seconds. Activation cannot be canceled manually, the heater is switched off automatically after approximately 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

WATER PUMP, STATUS

Indicates the current status of the water pump.

ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR, VALUE

The value indicates the temperature at the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.

The temperature cycles between 64°C - 87°C when the heater is operating normally.

OVERHEAT PROTECTION THERMOSTAT, VALUE

The value indicates the temperature at the overheat protection thermostat

The temperature cycles between outside temperature -130°C when the heater is operating normally.

TEMPERATURE FLAME SENSOR, VALUE

The value indicates the temperature at the flame sensor.

Measurement range -50°C- +400°C

DEGREE OF MODULATION OF GLOW PLUG, VALUE

The value indicates the degree to which the glow plug is activated.

FUEL PUMP FREQUENCY, VALUE

The value indicates the frequency of the fuel pump (FP).

The frequency increases depending on the pump speed.

Reading off the lowest permitted battery voltage for starting the heater.

Reading off the highest permitted battery voltage for starting the heater.

30 SUPPLY, VALUE

Measurement range 0 to +18 volts.

Reading off the 30-supply.

Normal value when the generator (GEN) is charging: 13.0 - 14.5 volts.

Measurement range: 5-24 V.

Normal value when the generator (GEN) is charging: 13.0-14.5 V.

DISTANCE, VALUE

Measurement range: 0-1, 000, 000 km.

The value indicates the total mileage of the car at the time the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored.

PASSENGER COMPARTMENT TEMPERATURE, VALUE

Measurement range: -60-195°C.

The value indicates the passenger compartment temperature of the car at the time the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored.

OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE, VALUE

Measurement range: -128-128°C.

The value indicates the outside temperature at the time the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored.

ENGINE RUNNING, STATUS

The status displays whether the engine was running when the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) was stored.
