Installing components
Install
- the hoses on the pipe couplings for the water pump. Tighten the hose clamps
- the bracket for the control module. Tighten
- the control module.
Remove the hose clips from the hoses. Check that there is no leakage.
Install
- the air baffles on the left-hand and, if applicable on the right-hand side
- the air baffle in the center
- the bumper cover. See «Casing, bumper front, replacing»(ref-440527-S15867802842011121400000) .
Remove the heater. See Engine coolant heater, replacing .
Remove the fan shroud. See Fan shroud

Disconnect all the connectors and the sensor.
Cut the tie strap.
Replace the wiring harness.

Release the quick-release connectors.
Remove the hose clamps
Replace the hose/pipe.
Note. Use Oetiker pincers 3374 to slacken off and secure the Oetiker clamps.
Connect the fuel line to vacuum pump 9985876 . Suck carefully until fuel comes out. Connect the cables and hoses.
Water pump
Install in reverse order.
Note. Always check that there is clearance between the fuel line and water hose.
Note. Start the engine and let it idle for a few seconds before starting the heater.
Test run the heater. Check the function of the heater. See Engine coolant heater, test running
Check both the coolant hoses and the fuel lines for leakage.
Top up the coolant if necessary.
Check that no diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) have been stored during the repair work.

Remove
- the bumper cover. See «Casing, bumper front, replacing»(ref-440527-S15867802842011121400000)
- the two upper screws as shown and the center screw on the left hand slide mounting.
- the left air baffle.
