Induction Pipe - Removal & Installation: Other Volvo S60 I

Installing the charge air pipe (only applies to 6 cylinder turbocharged engines)

Connect all the charge air pipes to each other.

Tighten the hose clamps.

Install the screws for the charge air pipe in the intake manifold. Tighten to 10 Nm .

Particle filter, replacing

CAUTIONMark the position of the hoses.

Remove

  1. the rear temperature sensor
  2. the particle filter hoses.

Remove 2 M8 nuts from the rear edge of the particle filter.

HINT: Move the rear of the particle filter down to access the upper nut at the front joint.

Remove the 3 M8 nuts from the rear edge of the particle filter.

Unhook the particle filter from the rubber mountings.

Remove the particle filter and scrap the gaskets.

Installing the particle filter

Install a new gasket.

Reposition the filter in the rubber mountings.

Install

  1. the 3 new M8 nuts. Tighten.
  2. the particle filter hoses using new clips
  3. the temperature sensor. Tighten according to appropriate service information.

Install

  1. a new gasket at the joint between the particle filter and the exhaust system
  2. the 2 new M8 nuts. Tighten.
