GENERAL INSTALLATION INFORMATION FOR ALL WINDOWS
Apply the adhesive all around circumference at a right angle to window.

| WARNING | The window must be installed within 10 minutes or the adhesive will not bond well. Do not apply adhesive bead too thickly and do not press windows too firmly on to body flange. Since windows no longer have a sealing lip, surplus adhesive is to be seen in gap area. |
- With the help of two suction lifters (VAG 1344), install the window in the window opening, center it, and press onto the spacer.
- Re-affix any stickers (for example, for airbag).
Scheme 3
Check whether height stops -1- are present.
The windshield has no markings for the primer.
Apply the primer as follows.
- Top edge of the glass: from the height stop -1- 12 mm wide -dimension 3-.
- Side edge of the glass: from the edge of the window 18 mm wide -dimension 5-.
- Bottom edge of the glass: from the height stop -1- 12 mm wide -dimension 6-.
The windshield does not have markings for the adhesive bead.
The adhesive bead is centered from the top and sides with the following dimensions.
- From the top edge of the window 12 mm -dimension 2-.
- Side edge of the glass: from the side edge 12 mm -dimension 4-.
- On the bottom edge of the glass: from the height stop -1- 1 mm distance -dimension 7-.

Secure windshield using window adjuster (443 845 631 A) -5- during the minimum curing time.
REAR WINDOW INSTALLATION INFORMATION
Note. After positioning rear window and checking dimensions, it should be secured in upper area with a tensioning band. The rear window is pressed out of installation position in upper area by roof center section seal.
Scheme 4
- Close roof until rear window frame is locked.
- Check whether height stops -1- are present.
- For the windshield gap and height dimensions, refer to «REAR WINDOW ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW»(ref-475581-S42636737842012052300000) .
- Activator must not be applied onto distributing wire for window heater.
- Markings -2 and 3- for applying the adhesive -4- are made along the circumference of the rear window.
- Secure the rear window with a strap during the minimum curing time.
- If too much adhesive was applied and it spreads onto the window defroster, remove the excess.
