CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note. DTC B2311 is stored in the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door). If the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) has been replaced with a new one, initialize the power window control system. Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2013 - ] If the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) and door window regulator sub-assembly have been removed and installed, or if the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) was reused when the door glass or door glass run was replaced, initialize the power window control system. Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2013 - ] Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK FOR DTC Clear the DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2013 - ]»(ref-635456-S39954245992014070300000) Body Electrical > D-Door Motor > Clear DTCs Check for DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2013 - ]»(ref-635456-S39954245992014070300000) Body Electrical > D-Door Motor > Trouble Codes OK DTC B2311 is not output. Result Proceed to OK NG Result: 1 OK USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to «HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2013 - 04/2014]»(ref-635429-S08037721622014070300000) Refer to «HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [04/2014 - ]»(ref-635429-S26261876542014070300000) Result: 3 NG See step 2
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER DOOR) - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition H9-2 (B) - H9-1 (GND) Always 11 to 14 V Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.   3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (D-DOOR MOTOR) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the ignition switch to ON. Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / D-Door Motor / Active Test. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream. WARNING: Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move. During the Active Test, the jam protection function will not operate. Body Electrical > D-Door Motor > Active Test Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note Power Window Power window OFF / DOWN / UP - Body Electrical > D-Door Motor > Active Test Tester Display Power Window OK Driver door power window motor operates.   4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (FOR DRIVER DOOR) Initialize the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door). Refer to «INITIALIZATION [08/2013 - ]»(ref-635456-S17766552722014070300000) Result Proceed to NEXT Result: 1 NEXT See step 5
  5. CHECK POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM (FOR DRIVER DOOR) Check that the driver door power window operates normally by opening and closing the window.   7. CHECK DTC OUTPUT Turn the ignition switch off. Wait for at least 10 seconds, and then turn the ignition switch to ON. Check for DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2013 - ]»(ref-635456-S39954245992014070300000) Body Electrical > D-Door Motor > Trouble Codes OK DTC B2311 is not output. Note. DTC B2312 is stored in the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door). If the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) has been replaced with a new one, initialize the power window control system. Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2013 - ] Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

HINT

If DTC B2312 is not output again after the DTC has been cleared, the DTC was output due to the switch being held.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER DOOR)) Disconnect the H5 power window regulator master switch assembly connector. Disconnect the H9 power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Refer to «REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]»(ref-635687-S35143837442014070300000) Inspect the power window regulator master switch assembly. Refer to «INSPECTION [08/2013 - ]»(ref-635687-S13778463422014070300000) Result Proceed to OK NG Result: 1 OK REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER DOOR). Refer to «REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]»(ref-635687-S29737725192014070300000) Result: 2 NG REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Note. DTC B2313 is stored in the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door). If the battery is disconnected while the ignition switch is ON, DTC B2313 is stored. If the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) has been replaced with a new one, initialize the power window control system. Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2013 - ]

  1. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (FOR DRIVER DOOR) Initialize the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door). Refer to «INITIALIZATION [08/2013 - ]»(ref-635456-S17766552722014070300000) Result Proceed to NEXT Result: 1 NEXT See step 2
  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT Turn the ignition switch off. Wait for at least 10 seconds, and then turn the ignition switch to ON. Check for DTCs. Note. Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  1. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (WINDOW LOCK SWITCH) Turn the window lock switch off and operate the switches on the power window regulator master switch assembly. Check that the remote up and down function operates normally. OK Remote up and down function operates normally. Result Proceed to OK NG Result: 1 OK END Result: 2 NG See step 2
  2. CHECK POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM (USING POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY OR REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY) Check the operation of the front passenger, rear LH and rear RH door power windows by using the power window regulator switch assembly or rear power window regulator switch assembly (for LH door or RH door). Result Result Proceed to Front passenger, rear LH and rear RH door power windows operate normally by using the power window regulator switch assembly or rear power window regulator switch assembly (for LH door or RH door). Front passenger, rear LH and rear RH door power windows do not operate by using the power window regulator switch assembly or rear power window regulator switch assembly (for LH door or RH door). A Only front passenger door power window does not operate using the power window regulator switch assembly. B Only rear LH door power window does not operate using the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for LH door). C Only rear RH door power window does not operate using the rear power window regulator switch assembly (for RH door). D Result: 1 A REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Note. Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure. The power window control system uses the LIN communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the power window control system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2013 - ] If the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) has been replaced with a new one, initialize the power window control system. Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2013 - ] When the ECU determines that the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) has a malfunction, DTC B2311 is stored.

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MAIN BODY) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the ignition switch to ON. Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream. Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Communication D-Door Motor Connection status between power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) OK or STOP OK: Normal communication STOP: Communication stopped - Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List Tester Display Communication D-Door Motor OK On the Techstream screen, OK is displayed. HINT

If the pulse sensor built into the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) is malfunctioning, the power window control system enters fail-safe mode. The remote up and down function cannot be operated during fail-safe mode. However, the power window can be closed by holding the power window regulator master switch assembly at the auto up position, and opened manually by pushing down the power window regulator master switch assembly.
