Test Description
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
- 3: This step is used to determine the correct diagnostic path. The path depends on if the sunroof is inoperative and in the open position, or if the sunroof is inoperative and in the closed position.
- 4: This step tests the sunroof switch open switch.
- 7: This step tests the sunroof switch close switch.

Power Sunroof Inoperative
Perform the Initialization/Teach Process any time a new sunroof motor actuator is installed in the vehicle or any time an existing sunroof motor actuator is removed from the vehicle. Refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process .

- Lower the headliner. Refer to «Headlining Trim Panel Replacement»(ref-268079-S08507880722007101800000) .
- Disconnect the front sunroof drain hose from the sunroof module front spigot, right or left side, as needed.
- Remove the 2 hose clips securing the drain hose to the cowl panel, right or left side, as needed.
- Remove the 2 hose clips securing the drain hose to the side door frame, right or left side, as needed. IMPORTANT: In order to aid in installation, attach a mechanic's wire to the end of the hose.
- Remove the drain hose from the vehicle, right or left side, as needed. Leave the mechanic's wire behind the instrument panel.
