Removing

Lift and support the vehicle with front wheels suspended

Suspend the steering on the exhaust pipe (a)

Put the wheels in the straight ahead position

Remove

• The screws (2a) and (2b)
• The reaction link (1)
• The bolts (6)
• The bolts (5)
• The bolts (7)
• The (3) bolt

Uncouple the gearbox controls from the selection lever

Remove

• The nuts (8)
• The bolts (4)

Move aside the lower arm

Position a lifting tool to retain the front sub-frame

Remove

• The screws (9) and (10)
• The front sub-frame

Refitting

Position and keep the front sub-frame on the vehicle by means of a lifting tool

Fit the bolts (9) - (10) (without tightening it)

Centralise the sub-frame on the body, passing the tool [1] through the location holes (b) on either side of the sub-frame

Tighten the bolts (9 - 10) to 8.5 m.daN (± 0.8)

Position the lower arms

Refit and tighten

• The bolts (4) 7.6 ± 0.7 daNm
• The bolts (7) 7 ± 0.7 daNm
• The bolts (5) 3.1 ± 0.3 daNm
• The bolts (6) 6.8 ± 0.6 daNm
• The reaction link (1)
• The (2b) bolt 6 ± 0.6 daNm
• The (2a) bolt 5.4 ± 0.5 daNm

Couple the gearbox controls onto the selection lever

Refit

• The (3) bolt
• The nuts (8)

Always fit new Nylstop nuts
