Role
The engine management ECU manages the entire injection system
The engine ECU manages the ignition as well as the injection of the fuel, as a function of the different parameters received
- Engine speed
- Position of the crankshaft
- Inlet air pressure (Pressure sensor)
- Position of the accelerator pedal
- Engine temperature (coolant thermistor)
- Temperature of the air entering the cylinders (air temperature sensor)
- Engine coolant temperature
- Voltage of the service battery
The engine management ECU electrically controls the following components
- Diesel injectors
- Diesel high pressure regulator.
- Fuel flow regulator
- Control electrovalve for the EGR heat exchanger by-pass (EGR)
- Variable geometry turbocharger electrovalve
- Pre and post-heating control unit
