Important: The electric drive assembly is supplied by the Aftersales division with a factory-preset as default. This factory presetting is only adapted to Model F69. Programming is dependent on the body version, programming of the dynamic anti-jamming protection is dependent on flow, this means:
Electric drive assemblies that are replaced in the event of a service must always be programmed by the dealership.
This programming takes place, as also with other control units, using the familiar TECH 2.
On delivery, the electric drive assembly is in a "factory mode" setting for model F 69. This factory mode setting is programmed using TECH 2 to the CAN mode "Can-Bus System" for the corresponding model.

Remove
- 1. Remove moulded headlining panel with interior lamp
- 2. Close sliding sunroof glass cover, move into zero position • Perform electric drive assembly emergency actuation • Adjust guide mechanism
Note. The sliding sunroof is in the zero position if the glass cover is closed and the guide mechanism is adjusted. If the electric drive assembly is faulty, the sliding sunroof is moved into the zero position using the emergency mode.
- 3. Remove electric drive assembly
- 4. Electric Drive, Basic Adjustment • Connect wiring harness plug for electric drive assembly • Press rotary switch of actuation unit (arrow) When the electric drive assembly is at a standstill, the zero position/basic adjustment is reached.
Note. The electric drive assembly is not attached to the actuation unit.
Note. Keep the rotary switch pressed until the electric drive assembly is no longer running.
Install
- 5. Install electric drive assembly
- 6. Install moulded headlining panel with interior lamp
Inspect
- 7. Check correct opening and closing of glass cover
