Alternator, Remove and Install

Ground cable from battery, remove air intake hose.
Cable connections from alternator.
Loosen fastening bolts (1) and (2) of tension shackle (3) and remove V-belt.

Install alternator to bracket, alternator to tension shackle (fasten finger-tight).
Install V-belt and tension - see operation
"V-belt Tension, Check and Adjust".
Cable connections to alternator.
Install air intake hose.
Connect ground cable to battery.

Alternator to bracket (M 8) - 25 Nm/18 lbf. ft.
Alternator to bracket (M 10) - 35 Nm/26 lbf. ft.
