How to Remove and Install the Radiator Opel Omega B

Remove

  1. 1. Remove lower engine compartment cover.
  2. 2. Open coolant drain bolts (1) and (2) • collect escaping coolant • then close coolant drain bolts.
  3. 3. Remove visco-fan • see operation "Visco-fan, Remove and Install"
  1. 4. Detach coolant hoses (arrows) from radiator • 4 pieces.
  2. 5. Detach wiring harness plug (1) from temperature sensor (2).
  3. 6. Remove condenser from radiator • 2 fastening bolts (4)
  4. 7. Remove fastening clamps (3) and remove radiator upwards.

Note. When replacing radiator: Transfer all attaching parts.

Install

  1. 8. Insert radiator from above and attach with fixing brackets • 2 pieces.
  2. 9. Attach condenser to radiator • 2 fastening bolts
  3. 10. Connect wiring harness plug to temperature sensor.
  4. 11. Attach coolant hoses to radiator • 4 pieces.
  5. 12. Install visco-fan • see operation "Visco-fan, Remove and Install"
  6. 13. Install lower engine compartment cover. • Tightening torque 5 Nm
  7. 14. Top up cooling system • see operation "Cooling System, Top Up and Bleed" and "Cooling System, Check for Leaks"
