How to Remove and Install the Intercooler Opel Omega B

Remove

1. 1. Remove air cleaner housing • see operation "Air Cleaner Housing, Remove and Install"
2. 2. Remove lower engine compartment cover.
3. 3. Detach air intake hose (4) from intercooler. Release right wheel housing panelling in front area.
4. 4. Detach charge air pipe (3). Remove intercooler fastening bolts (x2).
5. 5. Disconnect wiring harness connector (1). Remove intercooler (2), air supply (6) and intercooler fan.
6. 6. When replacing the intercooler: transfer air ducting and intercooler fan • 2 fastening bolts (5).

Install

7. 7. Connect intercooler and intercooler fan to intercooler holder (2 attachment bolts).

Note. Ensure that air supply (4) is correctly positioned.

8. 8. Connect wiring harness connector (2).
9. 9. Attach charge air pipe (3) • Tightening torque 3.5 Nm

10. 10. Attach front area of wheel house panelling.
11. 11. Attach air intake hose to intercooler • Tightening torque 3.5 Nm
12. 12. Install lower engine compartment cover. • Tightening torque 5 Nm
13. 13. Install air cleaner housing • see operation "Air Cleaner Housing, Remove and Install"
