· When the solenoid valves are activated, the ABS control unit switches the solenoid valve circuit internally to ground. The solenoid valve is activated. The ABS control unit then measures the voltage level at ter. 2 (lead to solenoid valve) and compares the result with a threshold value. If the threshold value is exceeded, the fault is set.

(Short circuit to battery voltage)

· The above condition must be fulfilled for at least 0. 04 sec.

or

· The solenoid valve is not actuated. The ABS control unit measures the voltage level at ter. 2 (lead to solenoid valve) and at ter. 32 (lead to solenoid valve relay contact).

The fault is set if the voltage at ter. 2 is lower than the voltage at ter. 32.

(Short circuit to ground or line interruption)

· The above condition must be fulfilled for at least 0. 04 sec.

If trouble code 41 was recognized, the ABS is switched off and the ABS telltale is switched on.
