Function Check
Before commencing an electrical check as specified in the checking program (see section 4. 6), first make a test drive - even if the malfunctions reported by the customer are possibly minor. During the test drive, observe all legislation regarding road traffic safety.
· Ignition "ON", ABS telltale illuminates.
For MY'94 vehicles:
· Make sure that the ABS telltale goes "OFF" after 4 seconds. Start the engine.
For MY'92 / '93 vehicles:
· Start the engine and make sure that the ABS telltale goes "OFF"
For all vehicles:
· The ABS telltale should remain "OFF" during the following part of the test.
· Bring the vehicle to a speed greater than 30 km / h (19 mph).
· Slowly brake and stop the vehicle completely.
· Then restart the vehicle and accelerate to a speed of 40 km / h (25 mph) or more.
· Brake hard so that the ABS function is activated.
