The steering angle sensor is a constituent of the steering wheel contact part.
• Service: The steering angle sensor must be recalibrated after working on the steering column, replacing the steering angle sensor or disconnecting the battery. If the steering angle sensor is not calibrated, the ESP indicator light on the instrument cluster is activated and fault code C0710 stored in the ABS/TC/ESP control unit.
There are two different ways of calibrating the sensor:
- 1. Turning the steering wheel from the left stop position to the right stop position with the ignition "ON" until the ESP indicator light goes off
- 2. Programming using the TECH2
