Note: If a radio CAR 300 is installed in a Corsa-B or Astra-F, the number of built-in loudspeakers must be programmed first. Since the standard product range of these platforms include a smaller loudspeaker package than the remaining car lines, this programming can be used to switch off the fader function for the rear loudspeakers (which are not included in the standard product range of Corsa-B and Astra-F). When the corresponding loudspeakers are controlled and there is no audible sound, this tells you, that the affected control unit does not evaluate the programming of the loudspeaker channels.
This function is used to program different codes depending on the vehicle configuration. The code is used to program the following radio functions: Vehicle speed dependent radio volume increase Number of displayable characters in the Info Display (8 or 10 digit display) Illumination dimmer curve (illumination dimming varies from vehicle to vehicle) Number of signals (depending on whether a front wheel or rear wheel drive is installed, a different number of signals is evaluated per each kilometer) Ignition ON Press corresponding key in the system main menu to call up Programming functions, select the desired test and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions in the diagnostic tester display. Select the correct code in chapter 3.3 of the Control Unit Parts and Catalogue Numbers (Service) Table, and enter the number in the diagnostic tester.
The following display indicates that the code version of the corresponding control unit is higher (later version) than the versions programmed in the diagnostic tester:CODE VERSION IN TECH 1 TOO OLD! CONTINUE?
If the following displays appears during the test, programming has been completed successfully:Radio SUCCESSFULLY PROGRAMMED!
