Caution
Wear protective goggles and avoid skin contact with refrigerant.
Plug or cap all pipes and components immediately.
Remove
Refrigerant - drain system; see operation "Air Conditioning System Drain".
Drive belts from compressor pulley - see operation "Drive Belts Remove and Install" in group J.
Magnetic clutch harness connector from compressor.
Refrigerant line connectors from compressor - bolts O-rings.
Compressor from mounting bracket - bolts.
New compressor will be filled with 150 cm 3 of refrigerant oil and nitrogen gas - gently release nitrogen gas from suction side do not allow refrigerant oil to flow out.
Turn compressor several times by hand to release refrigerant oil in rotor.
When installing in a used system amount of refrigerant oil should be adjusted - see "Technical Data" for quantities and type of oil.
Install
Compressor to mounting bracket - bolts 59 Nm.
Refrigerant line connectors to compressor - coat new O-rings with clean compressor lubricant; bolts 30 Nm.
Magnetic clutch harness to compressor.
Drive belts to compressor pulley - see operation "Drive Belts Remove and Install" in group J.
Charge refrigerant - see operation "Air Conditioning System Evacuate and Fill".
