Crankshaft Impulse Sensor, Motronic 7.6.1 Opel Astra H

Objective:

Check operation of the impulse sensor on the crankshaft.

Measurement:

Plot of voltage at the signal output for the impulse sensor on the crankshaft.

Preparation:

Switch off the engine and ignition.

Connections:

INPUT ACOM/TRIGGERINPUT B
Connect the red measurement lead to pin 2 of the plug connector for the impulse sensor on the crankshaft. Connect the ground lead to pin 1.

Procedure Tech 31:

  1. 1. Download Reference curve.
  2. 2. Start the engine and allow it to idle.

  1. 1. Download Setup File (the Tech 32 uses only Setup files, no reference curves).
  2. 2. Start the engine and allow it to idle.
