Alternator Replace

Remove

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the beauty cover. Refer to Beauty Cover Replace .
3. Remove the charge air cooler inlet hoses. Refer to Charging Air System Replace .

4. Remove the accessory belt. Refer to Accessory Belt and Tensioner Replace .

5. Disconnect the alternator connector.
6. Remove the alternator B+ wiring harness.
7. Remove the alternator.

Install

1. Install the alternator.
2. Install the alternator lead-to-starter motor wire retaining nut.

Tighten

Tightenthe alternator bolts to 30 N•m (22.1 lb-ft).

Tightenthe alternator B+ wiring harness retaining nut to 25 N•m (18.4 lb-ft).
