Starter Replace

Remove

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the engine undercover. Refer to Engine Under Covers Replace .

3. Remove the nuts which secure the battery lead wire and the alternator lead wire from the starter solenoid terminals.
4. Remove the starter-to-engine block mounting bolts.
5. Remove the starter assembly.

Install

1. Install the starter mounting bolts.

Tighten

Tighten the starter–to–engine block mounting bolt to 45 N•m (33.2 lb-ft).

2. Install the starter solenoid nut.

Tighten

Tighten the starter solenoid terminal–to–battery lead wire nut to 15 N•m (11 lb-ft).
