Headlamps Adjust Opel Agila B

Lighting ~244 words

Important: Headlamps must be adjusted using a legally specified projection wall or with optical headlamp alignment equipment. The headlamp alignment equipment used must comply with the existing guidelines and the manufacturer's operating instructions must be observed. The switch for headlamp range control must be at position "0" (position for headlamp basic adjustment). The headlamp alignment equipment must be regularly checked by the manufacturer's maintenance service.

Adjust

  1. 1. Park vehicle on a level surface in front of target screen • Dimension (3) between target screen and 2x headlamp = 10 m
  2. 2. Adjust air pressure of 4x tyre to correct value
  3. 3. Bounce vehicle body up and down by hand to stabilize suspension
  4. 4. Adjust 2x headlamp aim • Check if hot spot (4) (high intensity zone) of 2x headlamp axis, falls as shown in illustration – Angle specification (2) = 0.57° – Dimension (1) to be approximately 100 mm • If not within specified values, use 2x adjustment screw (5, 6) to correctly align 2x headlamp

Note. Adjustment is performed at vehicle kerb weight plus one person or 75 kg in the driver's seat. (Kerb weight = weight of unladen vehicle with completely filled fuel tank, as well as weight of all equipment normally carried, e.g. spare wheel, tools, jack, etc.).

Note. If the headlamps interfere with each other and make it hard to see the cut line clearly, cover the headlamp on one side. This helps to make aiming adjustment easier.
