How to Replace the Fan Motor Opel Agila A

Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet
2. 2. Disconnect battery • Detach ground cable • 1 fastening nut
3. 3. Disconnect fan motor wiring harness (2) • 1 wiring harness plug
4. 4. Loosen top of fan housing • 2 fastening bolts (1)

5. 5. Lift vehicle
6. 6. Remove fan housing bracket (1) • 1 fastening bolt

7. 7. Detach stabiliser from crossmember • 2 brackets (1) – 4 fastening bolts

8. 8. Remove fan housing • From bracket (1) • Remove downwards

9. 9. Detach fan • 1 fastening nut (1)

Note. Left-threaded

10. 10. Detach fan motor • Expose fan motor wiring harness – Bend open 4 brackets • 3 fastening bolts (arrows)

Install

11. 11. Attach fan motor • 3 fastening bolts – Attach fan motor wiring harness
12. 12. Attach fan • 1 fastening nut

Note. Left-threaded

13. 13. Insert fan housing • In bracket
14. 14. Install fan housing bracket • 1 fastening bolt
15. 15. Attach stabiliser to bracket • 4 fastening bolts – Tightening torque 45 Nm
16. 16. Lower vehicle
17. 17. Attach fan housing • 2 fastening bolts
18. 18. Connect fan motor wiring harness • 1 wiring harness plug
19. 19. Connect battery • Detach ground cable • 1 fastening nut – Tightening torque 5,5 Nm
20. 20. Program volatile memories
21. 21. Close bonnet.
