Note. Details of time display CRNT: Displays when there is a malfunction now or after returning to the normal condition until turning ignition switch OFF --> ON again. 1 - 39: Displayed if any previous malfunction is present when current condition is normal. It increases like 1 --> 2 --> 3...38 --> 39 after returning to the normal condition whenever ignition switch OFF --> ON. The counter remains at 39 even if the number of cycles exceeds it. It is counted from 1 again when turning ignition switch OFF --> ON after returning to the normal condition if the malfunction is detected again.

DTC DETECTION LOGIC

Note. U1000 can be set if a module harness was disconnected and reconnected, perhaps during a repair. Confirm that there are actual CAN diagnostic symptoms and a present DTC by performing the Self Diagnostic Result procedure.

CONSULT DisplayDTC Detection ConditionPossible Cause
CAN COMM CIRCUIT [U1000]When any listed module cannot communicate with CAN communication signal continuously for 2 seconds or more with ignition switch ONIn CAN communication system, any item (or items) of the following listed below is malfunctioning. Transmission Receiving (ECM) Receiving (VDC/TCS/ABS) Receiving (METER/M & A) Receiving (TCM) Receiving (IPDM E/R)

Diagnosis Procedure

  1. PERFORM SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT Turn ignition switch ON and wait for 2 second or more. Check "SELF-DIAG RESULTS". Is "CAN COMM CIRCUIT" displayed? YES: Perform CAN Diagnosis as described in DIAGNOSIS section of CONSULT Operation Manual. NO: Refer to " «INTERMITTENT INCIDENT»(ref-675571-S38824794042014120500000) ".
