A/c-Heater System - Automatic: Overview Nissan Maxima A32

DESCRIPTION

Automatic A/C-heater system consists of standard A/C-heater system and electronically controlled components. The auto amplifier controls air mix door, fan speed, outlet door, intake door and A/C compressor clutch. Auto amplifier, built into Body Control Module (BCM), includes self-diagnostic system. Coolant temperature is monitored by thermal transmitter, located on left rear of engine.

OPERATION

The automatic A/C-heater system controls fan speed, outlet air temperature, and outlet air vents to maintain vehicle interior temperature at the desired setting.

Actuator Operation

  1. To enter self-diagnosis step 4, press temperature switch up arrow. (Схема №1) Code 41 will be displayed. Each time DEF switch is pressed, display will advance one code number. After Code 46 is reached, numbers go back to Code 41.
  2. As code numbers advance, auto amplifier commands will change air intake and outlet ports. Verify doors are switching properly by listening for door operation and/or feeling for airflow from appropriate outlet(s). See SELF-DIAGNOSIS STEP 4 CODE EXPLANATIONS table.
