TROUBLE DIAGNOSES

Note. For encoder and limit switch check (driver side), see ENCODER & LIMIT SWITCH CHECK (DRIVER SIDE) , and for encoder and limit switch check (passenger side), see ENCODER & LIMIT SWITCH CHECK (PASSENGER SIDE) .

Scheme 1

Inspection After Removal

Check the regulator assembly for the following items. If a malfunction is detected, replace or grease it

1. Wire wear.
2. Regulator deformation.
3. Grease condition for each sliding part.

The arrows in the figure show the application points of the body grease. (Scheme 2)

Front Door Glass Fitting Inspection

1. Check that the glass is securely fit into the glass run groove.
2. Lower the glass slightly, about 0.39-0.79 in. (10-20 mm) and check that the clearance to the sash is parallel. If the clearance between the glass and sash is not parallel, loosen the regulator mounting bolts, guide rail mounting bolts and glass and guide rail mounting bolts to correct the glass position.

Check the regulator assembly for the following items. If a malfunction is detected, replace or grease it

1. Gear wear.
2. Regulator deformation.
3. Spring damage.
4. Grease condition for each sliding part.

Rear Door Glass Fitting Inspection

Check that the glass is securely fit into the glass run groove.

Lower the glass slightly, about 0.39-0.79 in. (10-20 mm), and check that the clearance to the sash is parallel. If the clearance between the glass and sash is not parallel, loosen the regulator mounting bolts, guide rail mounting bolts, and glass and carrier plate mounting bolts to correct the glass position.
