Symptom Troubleshooting [Dynamic Stability Control System]: Diagnosis Mazda MX-5 NC рестайлинг

Anti-Lock/traction Control 1 illustration ~105 words

Inspection method for sensors

  1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (Engine off). NOTE: If engine starts and runs, perform the following steps at idle.
  3. Access PIDs for the switch you are inspecting.
  4. Vibrate the sensor slightly with your finger. If the PID value is unstable or a malfunction occurs, inspect for poor connection and/or poorly mounted sensor.

SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)]

  1. Verify the symptoms, and perform troubleshooting according to the appropriate number.

Diagnostic procedure

STEPINSPECTIONACTION
1CONFIRM DSC HU/CM DTC Perform the Reading DTCs Procedure. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] ) Are any DTC present?YesGo the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] )
NoGo to the next step.
2INSPECT WHETHER MALFUNCTION IS IN INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SYSTEM OR OTHER SYSTEM Verify other warning and indicator lights illuminate when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position? Is there any warning and indicator light?YesGo to the next step.
NoReplace the instrument cluster, if necessary (power supply system, ground system). (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
3INSPECT CONNECTION OF DSC HU/CM CONNECTOR Turn the ignition switch off. Inspect the connection of DSC HU/CM connector. Is the DSC HU/CM connector securely connected?YesGo to the next step.
NoReconnect the DSC HU/CM connector securely, then go to the next step.
4INSPECT DSC HU/CM AND RELATED PARTS CONNECTOR TERMINALS Inspect the connection of DSC HU/CM, instrument cluster and related parts connector terminal. Are the terminals securely connected?YesReplace the DSC HU/CM. (See DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
NoReconnect the DSC HU/CM, instrument cluster and related connector terminals securely.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEPINSPECTIONACTION
1INSPECT BRAKE FLUID LEVEL Inspect the brake fluid level. Is the brake fluid level normal?YesGo to the next step.
NoAdd brake fluid.
2INSPECT PARKING BRAKE Verify the parking brake lever. Is the parking brake lever released?YesGo to the next step.
NoRelease the parking brake lever.
3INSPECT DSC HU/CM DTC Perform the Reading DTCs Procedure. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] ) Are any DTC present?YesGo to the appropriate DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] )
NoGo to the next step.
4INSPECT WHETHER MALFUNCTION IS IN CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR, TERMINAL OR OTHER Verify the ABS warning light and brake system warning light. Do the ABS warning light and brake system warning light go off after 4 s when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position?YesTemporary poor connection in control module connector. Inspect the DSC HU/CM connector: Go to Step 7. Inspect the DSC HU/CM connector terminal: Go to Step 8.
NoGo to the next step.
5INSPECT BATTERY Inspect the battery. (See BATTERY INSPECTION [LF] ) Is there any malfunction?YesInspect the charging system. (See GENERATOR INSPECTION [LF] ) Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results.
NoGo to the next step.
6INSPECT CHARGING SYSTEM Start the engine. Measure the battery voltage with the electrical load (A/C, headlight, etc.) on and the engine idling. Is the voltage normal?YesGo to the next step.
NoInspect the charging system (drive belt tension, generator, etc.). (See GENERATOR INSPECTION [LF] ) Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results.
7INSPECT CONNECTION OF DSC HU/CM CONNECTOR Turn the ignition switch off. Inspect the connection of DSC HU/CM connector. Is the DSC HU/CM connector securely connected?YesGo to the next step.
NoReconnect the DSC HU/CM connector securely, then go to the next step.
8INSPECT DSC HU/CM AND RELATED PARTS CONNECTOR TERMINALS Inspect the connection of DSC HU/CM, instrument cluster and related parts connector terminal. Are the terminals securely connected?YesReplace the DSC HU/CM. (See DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
NoReconnect the DSC HU/CM, instrument cluster and related connector terminals securely.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEPINSPECTIONACTION
1CONFIRM DSC HU/CM DTC Perform the Reading DTCs Procedure. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] ) Are any DTC present?YesGo the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] )
NoGo to the next step.
2INSPECT DSC SYSTEM Perform "DSC SYSTEM INSPECTION". (See DSC SYSTEM INSPECTION ) Is there any malfunction?YesRepair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results.
NoInspect the conventional brake system. Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results, if necessary.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEPINSPECTIONACTION
1INSPECT DSC HU/CM DTC Perform the Reading DTCs Procedure. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] ) Are any DTC present?YesGo to the appropriate DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC [DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)] )
