DESCRIPTION & OPERATION
The Auto Load Leveling (ALL) system used on MPV is an electronically controlled, rear vehicle height leveling system. The system will only operate when vehicle is in a stationary position, engine is off and all doors are closed. Height sensor inputs a signal to control unit based on changes in vehicle load. Vehicle speed sensor, alternator (terminal "L") and door switches input signals to control unit to ensure ALL system does not operate while vehicle is moving, engine is running or a door is open.
Control unit sends a signal based on input signal from sensors to compressor relay. Compressor relay operates compressor sending air to air cylinders on rear shock absorbers. Air cylinders expand to regulate vehicle height and maintain proper front to rear proportion. When vehicle load is reduced, an exhaust valve releases air contained within air cylinder bringing vehicle back to normal riding height.
Control unit also controls an indicator light on instrument cluster. The ALL indicator (LEVELER) light will flash while the ALL system is adjusting vehicle height. Indicator light will remain on if there is a malfunction in the ALL system.
