SUPPLIER IDENTIFICATION PROCEDURE [AUDIO]

Note. The supplier can vary with the unit. When asking the supplier (service center) for repair or replacement, identify the supplier and fill in the Audio Repair Order Form with the following procedures.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the following parts: Upper panel (See «UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S15065956352013101400000).) Decoration panel (See «DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S30597239632013101400000).) Shift knob (MTX) (See «MANUAL TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/mazda/6/gj-2012-2015/remont/manual-trans/#manual-transaxle-shift-mechanism).) Shift panel (See «SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S38776581642013101400000).) Center panel lower (See «CENTER PANEL LOWER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S05740589362013101400000).) Center panel upper (See «CENTER PANEL UPPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-581614-S25330971132013101400000).)   3. Verify the supplier by referring to the label attached to each unit. (Scheme 93): Supplier Identification Label

  1. Switch the ignition to ACC or ON.
  2. While pressing the POWER/VOLUME switch, simultaneously press the PRESET switch 5 for 3 s or more. (Scheme 94): Power/Volume Switch And Preset Switch 5
  3. Identify the supplier code by referring to the information display. (Scheme 95): Information Display - Supplier Code Supplier Code Supplier Name 01 SANYO Automedia 02 Panasonic 03 Clarion 04 Pioneer 05 VISTEON NOTE: The supplier code can also be identified from the DTC displays screen. (Scheme 96): DTC Display Screen - Supplier Code
  4. To stop the diagnostic assist function, ignition is switched to off.

  3. Identify the manufacture code by referring to the display. (Scheme 98): Screen Display - Manufacture Code Manufacture code Supplier name 01 SANYO Automedia 02 Panasonic 03 Clarion 04 Pioneer 05 VISTEON NOTE: The manufacture code can also be identified from the DTC displays screen. (Scheme 99): DTC Displays Screen - Manufacture Code
  4. To stop the diagnostic assist function, ignition is switched to off.
