FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front bumper. (See «FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-448631-S32376246232012012000000) .)
  3. Remove the bolt shown in the illustration.
  4. Remove the bolt and fastener shown in the illustration.
  5. Remove the bolts shown in the illustration.
  6. Disconnect the connectors shown in the illustration.
  7. Pull the front combination light in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and remove the pin from the body.
  8. Remove the front combination light.
  9. Remove the bolts shown in the illustration.
  10. Remove the tabs and pin shown in the illustration.
  11. Remove the cover from the combination light.
  12. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  13. Adjust the headlight aiming. (See «HEADLIGHT AIMING»(ref-448651-S18930774982012012000000) .)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the fasteners and slightly bend back the mudguard.
  3. Remove the cover.
  4. Pull the connectors in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and disconnect them.
  5. Move the bulb retaining wire in the direction of the arrow (1) to release the lock, then open the bulb retaining wire in the direction of the arrow (2).
  6. Remove the headlight bulb. CAUTION: A halogen bulb generates extremely high heat when it is illuminated. If the surface of the bulb is soiled, excessive heat will build up and the life of the bulb will be shortened. When replacing the bulb, hold the metal flange, not the glass.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Discharge connector removal note

  1. Rotate the connector in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration to remove it.

  1. Press sections A to release the bulb retaining wire and remove the discharge headlight.

  11. Remove the short cord.

PARKING/FRONT TURN LIGHT BULB REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Slightly bend back the mudguard. (See «FRONT MUDGUARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-448621-S29524228602012012000000) .)
  3. Rotate the parking/front turn light socket in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.
  4. Pull the parking/front turn light socket in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the illustration and remove it.
  5. Remove the parking/front turn light bulb.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Disconnect the front side marker light connector.
  4. Remove tab A by pressing it in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration.
  5. Remove the front side marker light by pulling it in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration. CAUTION: When remove the front side marker light, be careful not to damage the pin.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT BULB REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Slightly bend back the mudguard. (See «FRONT MUDGUARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-448621-S29524228602012012000000) .)
  3. Rotate the front side marker light socket in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and remove it.
  4. Remove the front side marker light bulb.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  1. Make a screen as shown in the illustration using double-weight, white paper.
  2. Adjust the tire pressure to the specification.
  3. Position the unloaded vehicle on a flat, level surface.
  4. Seat one person in the driver's seat.
  5. Line up the vehicle with the wall so that the center of the front fog light is 3 in {9.8 ft} away from the wait.
  6. Measure the height at the center of the front fog light. NOTE: Since the height of the vehicle varies depending on the vehicle situation, measure the height of the center of the front fog light using the actual vehicle.
  7. Align the center of the front fog light with the center of the screen.
  8. Block the light of the other front fog light using a partition.
  9. Start the engine so that the battery remains charged.
  10. Turn the front fog lights on.
  11. Verify that the brightness border line of the front fog light is at the position indicated on the adjustment screen.
  1. If the brightness border line is not at the position indicated on the adjustment screen, perform the following adjustment.
  1. Remove the adjustment bolt and cut the front fog light hole cover at the position shown in the illustration.
  2. Loosen the screw.
  3. Move the front fog light in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration to adjust the brightness border line to the position indicated on the adjustment screen.
  4. Install the adjusting bolt and tighten the screw.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Press tab A in the direction; of the arrow (1) shown in the illustration, press the license plate light in the direction of the arrow (2), and detach tab B.
  4. Remove the license plate light.
  5. install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Disconnect the license plate light connector.
  4. Rotate the socket in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration to remove it.
  5. Remove the license plate light bulb.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

COMBINATION SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

CAUTIONIf the disc on the combination switch is deformed or has foreign material adhering to it, performance of the steering angle sensor may be reduced, causing abnormal operation. Do not remove the clock spring except when replacing the combination switch.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  4. Remove the screws shown in the illustration, then remove the light switch by pulling it in the direction of the arrow.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Squeeze the tabs of hazard warning switch and putt it outward to remove it.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Remove the hazard warning switch. (See «HAZARD WARNING SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-448651-S42527809492012012000000) .)
  4. Verify that the continuity between the hazard switch terminals is as indicated in the table. If not as indicated in the table, replace the hazard warning switch.
  5. Apply battery voltage to hazard switch terminal D, and connect terminal C to ground.
  6. Verify that the LED illuminates.
  1. If there is any malfunction, replace the hazard warning switch.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  2. Verify that the resistance between the headlight leveling switch terminals is as indicated in the table. If not as indicated in the table, or if the resistance is not within the specification, replace the headlight leveling switch.
  3. Apply battery voltage to headlight leveling switch terminal E, and connect terminal A to ground.
  4. Verify that the LED illuminates.
  1. If there is any malfunction, replace the headlight leveling switch.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Removal the nut.

AUTO LIGHT/WIPER CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

CAUTIONWhen replacing the auto light/wiper control module, the configuration procedure must be performed before removing the auto light/wiper control module. Replacing the auto light/wiper control module without performing the configuration procedure will result in system malfunction.

Note. Auto light-off system are integrated with the auto light/wiper control module.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the dashboard under cover (Driver side). (See «DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-448656-S15925168382012012000000) .)
  3. Remove the nut.
  4. Disconnect the connectors.
  5. Remove the auto light/wiper control module.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  7. Perform the auto light/wiper control module configuration when replacing it. (See «AUTO LIGHT/WIPER CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION»(ref-448651-S29862211142012012000000) .)

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Verify that the continuity between the map light terminals is as indicated in the table. If not as indicated in the table, replace the map light.
  4. Apply battery positive voltage to map light terminal C, and connect terminal F to ground.
  5. Switch the room light switch to the DOOR position and verify that the map light illuminates.
  1. If the light does not illuminate, replace the map light.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Partially peel back the seaming welt.

  4. Disconnect the rain sensor connector. (Vehicles auto light/wiper system)

  8. Remove the map light. (See «MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-448651-S38096746852012012000000) .)

  11. Disconnect the interior light connector.
  12. Detach the tab and remove the interior light.
  13. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Insert a tape-wrapped fastener remover into the service hole indicated in the illustration.
  3. White pressing tab in the direction of the arrow (1), pull the ground illumination light in the direction of the arrow (2).
  4. Remove the ground illumination tight by putting it in the direction of the arrow (3).
  5. Disconnect the socket in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration.
  6. Remove the ground illumination light bulb as shown in the illustration.
  7. install in the reverse order of removal.
