  2. Disconnect the connector.
  3. Remove the nut. (Scheme 24): AudioPilot® 2 Microphone, Connector And Nut With Torque Specifications
  4. Remove the AudioPilot ® 2 microphone.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  2. Remove the rain sensor cover. (Vehicles with auto light/wiper system) (See RAIN SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
  3. Disconnect the rain sensor connector. (Vehicles with auto light/wiper system)
  4. Partially peel back the seaming welts.
  5. Remove the following parts: Sunroof seaming welt (vehicles with sunroof) A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) B-pillar lower trim (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) Upper anchor of the front seat belt (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].) (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)   6. Disconnect the connector. (Scheme 25): Ground Plate And Connector With Torque Specifications
  7. Remove the ground plate.
  8. Remove the center roof antenna in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure while pressing the center roof antenna tabs in the direction of the arrow (1). (Scheme 26): Pressing Center Roof Antenna Tabs
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  10. After installation, verify that the rubber of the center roof antenna is installed to the roof panel with no space between them.

  6. Disconnect the connector. (Scheme 27): Connector And Ground Plate (AM/FM Type) With Torque Specifications (Scheme 28): Connector And Ground Plate (AM/FM/SIRIUS Type) With Torque Specifications
  7. Remove the ground plate.
  8. Remove the antenna rod.
  9. Remove the center roof antenna in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure while pressing the center roof antenna tabs in the direction of the arrow (1). (Scheme 29): Center Roof Antenna (AM/FM Type) (Scheme 30): Center Roof Antenna (AM/FM/SIRIUS Type)
  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  11. After installation, verify that the rubber of the center roof antenna is installed to the roof panel with no space between them.

  6. Verify that there is no continuity between the center roof antenna terminals A and B using an ohmmeter. (Scheme 31): Identifying Center Roof Antenna Connector Terminals A And B
  7. Inspect for continuity between the center roof antenna terminals using an ohmmeter. If not as indicated in the table, replace the center roof antenna. (Scheme 32): Center Roof Antenna Terminals Continuity Chart

Glass Antenna Connector Removal Note

  1. Remove the connector B in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure while pressing the glass antenna terminal in the direction of the arrow (1).

Removal

Note. The antenna feeder No.4 is integrated with the dashboard wiring harness.

  1. Refer to DASHBOARD DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY

Installation

CAUTIONIf the antenna feeder No.4 is installed with tension on the cable and wiring harness it could result in loosening of the connection areas and poor contact. When installing and connecting the antenna feeder No.4, always make sure there is slack on the cable and wiring harness.

Note. The antenna feeder No.4 is integrated with the dashboard wiring harness. When installing a new antenna feeder No.4, secure it to the vehicle wiring harness along the installation route of the old antenna feeder No.4.

  3. Disconnect the GPS antenna connector.
  4. Disconnect the antenna feeder No.5.
  5. Verify that the continuity between antenna feeder No.4 terminals is as indicated in the table. If not as indicated in the table, replace antenna feeder No.4.

  3. Partially peel back the floor covering.
  4. Disconnect the antenna feeder No.4.
  5. Remove the clips A and B.
  6. Disconnect the antenna feeder No.3.
  7. Remove the clips C, D and E.
  8. Remove the antenna feeder No.5
  9. Install in reverse order of removal.

  5. Verify that the continuity between antenna feeder No.5 terminal is as indicated in the table. If not as indicated in the table, replace antenna feeder No.5.

ANTENNA FEEDER NO.6 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

  5. Remove the bolt.
  6. Remove the antenna feeder No.7.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  4. Verify that the continuity between antenna feeder No.7 terminals is as indicated in the table. If not as indicated in the table, replace antenna feeder No.7.

STEERING SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

WARNINGHandling the air bag module improperly can accidentally deploy the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Read the air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the air bag module. (See AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS .) (See AIR BAG SYSTEM SERVICE CAUTIONS .)

  5. Remove the wiring harness from the cover hook. see scheme 141: Wiring Harness And Cover Hook
  6. Remove the cover tabs and pins from the steering wheel. see scheme 142: Cover Tab, Pins And Steering Wheel
  7. Remove the cover.
  8. Disconnect the connector. see scheme 143: Steering Wheel Connector And Screws
  9. Remove the screw.
  10. Remove the steering switch pins from the steering wheel. see scheme 144: Steering Switch Pins
  11. Remove the steering switch.
  12. Install in the reverse order of removal.
