Antenna Amplifier Inspection

  3. Disconnect the rain sensor connector. (Vehicles with auto light/wiper system)
  4. Partially peel back the seaming welts.

  7. Switch the ignition to ON.
  8. Turn the audio unit power to ON.
  9. Tune in the radio.
  10. Verify that voltage is B+ at the antenna amplifier terminal B. If the battery voltage cannot be verified, replace the center roof antenna. If the battery voltage can be verified, go to the feeder line inspection.

  2. Verify that there is no continuity between the center roof antenna terminals A and C using an ohmmeter. (Scheme 6): Identifying Center Roof Antenna Connector Terminals A And C (AM/FM Type) (Scheme 7): Identifying Center Roof Antenna Connector Terminals A And C (AM/FM/SIRIUS Type)
  3. Inspect for continuity between the center roof antenna terminals using an ohmmeter. If not as indicated in the table, replace the center roof antenna.   3. Disconnect the antenna feeder No.3 connector C. (with audio unit (with display)) (See «ANTENNA FEEDER NO.3 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-579336-S20570515942013100700000).)
  4. Inspect the glass antenna for damage visually.

  2. Remove the liftgate upper trim. (See.)

  4. Inspect the glass antenna for visual damage.

  6. Remove the clips A and B. (Scheme 13): Antenna Amplifier, Connector, Clips And Bolt With Torque Specification
  7. Disconnect the connector A. (with SIRIUS satellite radio system)
  8. Disconnect the connector B. (See «CONNECTOR B REMOVAL NOTE»(ref-579336-S06108920172013100700000).)
  9. Remove the clip C.
  10. Remove the bolt.
  11. Remove the Antenna amplifier.
  12. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  6. Disconnect the connector A.

  8. Remove the clip.
  9. Remove the bolt.
  10. Remove the antenna amplifier.
  11. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  7. Switch the ignition to ON.
  8. Verify that voltage is B+ at the antenna amplifier terminal A. (Scheme 17): Identifying Antenna Amplifier Connector Terminals (Without Display) If the battery voltage can be verified, replace the antenna amplifier.
  9. Verify that the continuity between antenna amplifier terminals is as indicated in the table.   4. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  3. Disconnect the connector. (Scheme 22): Condenser, Connector And Bolt (4SD) With Torque Specifications
  4. Remove the bolt.
  5. Remove the condenser.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
