PRECAUTION

Note. When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following systems after the cable is reconnected.   1. PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING TECHSTREAM When using the Techstream to troubleshoot with the engine switch off: Connect the Techstream to the DLC3, and turn the courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins. After all DTCs are cleared, check if the trouble occurs again 6 seconds after the engine switch is turned on (IG).
  2. PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING ON STEERING LOCK SYSTEM After replacing the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly), perform the key ID code registration. After replacing the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly), confirm the lock/unlock operation of the steering lock. OPERATION CONFIRMATION Steering Lock Condition Operation Condition Lock With the engine switch off, open and close any door. Unlock Turn the engine switch from off to on (ACC) or on (IG).
