  1. DESCRIPTION When a system error is detected, the LEXUS Link system informs the driver of the error by illuminating the red LED on the map light. If the red LED is malfunctioning, the following voice warning is provided: "A system error has been detected. Please contact your LEXUS dealer."
  2. CHECK BLINKING PATTERN (FAST1) Check current DTC. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-385285-S27742832902011021400000) . If the blinking pattern is the same as in the illustration, there is no problem. HINT: This blinking pattern is output when both of the following conditions are met: 1) there is a LEXUS Link service subscription, and 2) in data mode, there are no current or historic DTCs.
  3. CHECK BLINKING PATTERN (FAST2) Check current DTC. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-385285-S27742832902011021400000) . If the blinking pattern is the same as in the illustration, a historic DTC is stored. Perform repairs according to the diagnostic trouble code chart. HINT: This blinking pattern is output when both of the following conditions are met: 1) there is a LEXUS Link service subscription, and 2) in data mode, there is no current DTC but there is a historic DTC.

Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Mayday Gateway / Trouble Codes. Clear the DTCs.
  3. LED BLINKING PATTERN When the system is in the diagnosis mode, the red and green LEDs on the mayday switch will blink in the applicable pattern. The blinking pattern shown in the illustration is an example of DTC 3-2 and 4-3. DTCs will be output in numerical order. A set of DTC blinking patterns will be output twice.
  4. EXIT DIAGNOSIS MODE Diagnosis mode can be exited by turning the engine switch off.

After the replacement, register the ECU. *2: Telephone antenna includes peripheral parts such as the telephone antenna rod, telephone antenna base, antenna wire, etc. *3: When running the vehicle, make sure it is in the LEXUS Link service area. If on a level surface, the vehicle may only need to be driven a short distance before a connection can be made. If in a mountainous area, the vehicle may have to be driven a long distance before the connection can be made.

DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST

  1. DATA LIST HINT: Using the Techstream to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. NOTE: In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Turn the Techstream on. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Mayday Gateway / Data List. According to the display on the Techstream, read the "Data List".
