  1. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Voltage Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F37-14 (SCB+) - F37-13 (SGND) Side monitor display screen displayed 5.8 to 6.5 V NG --> See step 8 OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR) Disconnect the F37 ECU connector. Disconnect the I7 mirror connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition F37-14 (SCB+) - I7-2 (SCB+) Always Below 1 ohms F37-13 (SGND) - I7-11 (SGND) Always Below 1 ohms F37-12 (SCV+) - I7-1 (SCV+) Always Below 1 ohms F37-36 (SCV-) - I7-10 (SCV-) Always Below 1 ohms F37-14 (SCB+) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher F37-13 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher F37-12 (SCV+) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher F37-36 (SCV-) - Body ground Always 10 kohms or higher NG --> REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step
  3. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH Remove the outer rear view mirror RH. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-385281-S00100880942011021400000) . Disconnect the side television camera connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition I7-2 (SCB+) - A-1 (SCB+) Always Below 1 ohms I7-11 (SGND) - A-4 (SGND) Always Below 1 ohms I7-1 (SCV+) - A-3 (SCV+) Always Below 1 ohms I7-10 (SCV-) - A-6 (SCV-) Always Below 1 ohms NG --> See step 7 OK: Go to next step
  4. CHECK SIDE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform. MEASUREMENT CONDITION Item Content Terminal No. (Symbol) F37-12 (SCV+) - F37-36 (SCV-) Tool Setting 0.2 V/DIV., 20 ms/DIV.*1 0.2 V/DIV., 50 ms/DIV.*2 Condition Side monitor display screen displayed*1 Camera lens covered to make image black while side view monitor display screen displayed*2 NG --> See step 9 OK: Go to next step
  5. REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GVIF CABLE) Replace the harness and connector (GVIF cable). NEXT: Go to next step
  6. CHECK DTC OUTPUT Clear the DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-385279-S41062314052011021400000) . Recheck for DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-385279-S41062314052011021400000) . OK DTC 5C-40 is not output. NG --> See step 8 OK --> END (GVIF CABLE IS DEFECTIVE)
  7. REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-385281-S00100880942011021400000)
  8. REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-385272-S26740711142011021400000)
  9. REPLACE SIDE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-385272-S40663782282011021400000)
