Use these procedures to troubleshoot the clock system.
- VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
- INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE Standard voltage: 11 to 14 V If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.
- BASIC INSPECTION Turn the engine switch on (ACC). Check whether or not the display appears on the multi-display. - CHECK CLOCK Disconnect the L38 clock connector. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. - ADJUST CLOCK (w7 Navigation System) When planning to use GPS correction, press the "Auto Adjust" "ON" switch. When planning to use daylight saving time, press the "Daylight Saving Time" "ON" switch. Set time zone Press "Time Zone". Select a time zone. Press "Other" to set a customized time zone. HINT: To set a time ahead of GMT, press "up". Each press of "up" sets the time 30 minutes ahead. To set a time behind GMT, press "down". Each press of "down" sets the time 30 minutes behind. After settings are complete, press "OK".
- ADJUST CLOCK (w/o Navigation System) HINT: When the navigation system is not available, "Auto Adjust" is "OFF" and cannot be set to "ON". When planning to use daylight saving time, press the "Daylight Saving Time" "ON" switch. To increase the hours, press "H". To increase the minutes, press "M". Press ".00" to set the time to the beginning of an hour. HINT: When performed with the minutes at 0 to 29, the time is set backward, and with the minutes at 30 to 59, the time is set forward. For example, if the time is between 1:00 to 1:29, the time is set to 1:00, and if the time is between 1:30 to 1:59, the time is set to 2:00. After settings are complete, press "OK".

- INSPECT ERROR MARGIN OF CLOCK Inspect the error margin of the clock. OK: Allowable error (per day) is +/-1.0 seconds. NG: Go to step 8 OK: END
- INSPECT AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM Check that the audio and visual system is operating normally. OK: Audio and visual system is normal.
