Removal
- Turn off ignition.
- Remove front wheel.
- Place matchmarks on disc and axle hub. (Scheme 3)
- Remove bolts and brake caliper. Support brake caliper securely.
- Disconnect speed sensor harness connector. (Scheme 4)
- Check bearing backlash and axle hub deviation. See «BEARING BACKLASH & AXLE HUB DEVIATION»(ref-157069-S05777528022003080400000) under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTION.
- Remove bolts and axle hub with dust cover. (Scheme 5)

Installation
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-157069-S36458799132003080400000) .
- Check ABS speed sensor signal. See «ABS SENSOR SIGNAL CHECK»(ref-154106-S33033467722003050500000) under COMPONENT TESTS in ANTI-LOCK - LS 430.
- Check front wheel alignment. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
Removal & Installation
- Turn ignition off.
- Remove front wheel.
- Remove clip and nut from tie rod end. (Scheme 6)
- Using Special Tool (09610-20012), disconnect tie rod end from lower ball joint. (Scheme 7)
- Remove bolts and disconnect lower ball joint from steering knuckle.
- Remove clip and nut. Using Special Tool (09628-62011), disconnect lower ball joint from lower control arm. (Scheme 8)
- Inspect ball joint for rotation condition. See «BALL JOINT ROTATION»(ref-157069-S17786311712003080400000) under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTION.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-157069-S36458799132003080400000).
- Check front wheel alignment. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.

- Install lower ball joint to lower control arm. Tighten to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-157069-S36458799132003080400000) . Install NEW cotter pin.
- To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-157069-S36458799132003080400000) .
- Turn ignition off.
- Remove front wheel.
- Remove clip and nut from tie rod end. (Scheme 9)
- Using Special Tool (09610-20012), disconnect tie rod end from lower ball joint. (Scheme 7)
- Remove bolts and disconnect lower ball joint from steering knuckle.
- Remove clip and nut. Using Special Tool (09628-62011), disconnect lower ball joint from lower control arm. (Scheme 8)
- On vehicles without electronic modulated air suspension, remove shock absorber. See «SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING»(ref-157069-S02937496802003080400000).
- On vehicles with electronic modulated air suspension, remove pneumatic cylinder. See «PNEUMATIC CYLINDER»(ref-157069-S25969109202003080500000).
- Place matchmarks on camber adjusting cam and suspension member. (Scheme 10)
- Remove nut, bolt and lower control arm with bracket. (Scheme 11)
- Remove adjusting cam bolt, nut, adjusting cam and lower control arm.
- Using Special Tool (09613-26010, 09950-00020, 09950-60010 - 09951-00650) and a press, remove bushing. (Scheme 12) For Special Tool (09613-26010), use 2 thicker half-rings as a pair.

- Using Special Tool (09613-26010, 09950-60010 - 09951-00650) and a press, install bushing. (Scheme 13) For Special Tool (09613-26010), use 2 thicker half-rings as a pair. Index tab of new bushing should be at a right angle (plus or minus 5 degrees) to center of bracket, and facing downwards when seen from outside vehicle. (Scheme 14)
- To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-157069-S36458799132003080400000).
- Check wheel alignment. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.

- Turn ignition off.
- Remove front wheel.
- Disconnect appropriate one touch air connector of front height control valve and bleed air. (Scheme 15)
- Place matchmarks on height control sensor link and bracket. Remove nut and disconnect sensor link. (Scheme 16)
- Remove bolts and height control sensor.
- Remove clip and nut. Using Special Tool (09610-20012), disconnect steering knuckle from upper control arm. (Scheme 17) Support steering knuckle securely.
- Remove bolt and nut to disconnect pneumatic cylinder from lower control arm. (Scheme 18)
- Remove grommet from body.
- Pinch part "A" of connector No. 1 to release housing and pull out connector No. 1. (Scheme 19)
- Set Special Tool (09730-00010) to tube. (Scheme 20)
- Install Special Tool (09730-00010) into housing and spread claws of connector No. 2. (Scheme 21) While Special Tool is inserted, pull out air tube. DO NOT pull air tube by unreasonable force.
- Using a screwdriver, remove connector No. 2, 2 "O" rings and plate from housing.
- Remove nuts and actuator cover.
- Disconnect actuator harness connector.
- Turn actuator counterclockwise to 40 degrees and remove upward.
- Remove nuts, suspension support and pneumatic cylinder. (Scheme 22)
- Lift up dust cover and check that rolling diaphragm is not damaged or cracked. (Scheme 23) If damage or cracks exist, replace pneumatic cylinder. Return dust cover to original position.
- Compress and extend pneumatic cylinder and check that there is no abnormal resistance or unusual operation sounds. If pneumatic cylinder is not normal, replace it. To dispose of old cylinder, fully extend pneumatic cylinder. Using a drill, make a hole in cylinder to remove gas inside. (Scheme 24)
- Check that there is a difference in damping force when rod is positioned as shown. (Scheme 25)

- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-157069-S36458799132003080400000).
- Match rod of pneumatic cylinder with hole in actuator.
- Install 2 NEW "O" rings, plate and connector No. 2 to housing and apply a thin coat of MP grease. Prevent foreign matter from being attached to "O" rings and height control tube. Failure may cause air leakage.
- Port hole of housing should be set in position 90 degrees from claws of connector No. 1. (Scheme 26) If port of housing cannot be viewed, find correct setting position by gradually shifting connector No. 1.
- Push tube and connector No. 1 into housing until a click is heard.
- Torque bolt for pneumatic cylinder to lower control arm after stabilizing suspension.
- Check front wheel alignment. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.

- Turn off ignition.
- Remove wheel.
- Place matchmarks on height control sensor link and bracket. Remove nut and disconnect sensor link from lower control arm. (Scheme 16)
- Remove clip and nut. Using Special Tool (09610-20012), disconnect steering knuckle from upper control arm. (Scheme 17) Support steering knuckle securely.
- Remove bolt and nut to disconnect shock absorber from shock absorber lower bracket.
- Loosen suspension support center nut. Do NOT remove. If disassembling shock absorber, it is not necessary to loosen nut. (Scheme 27)
- Remove outside suspension support nuts and shock absorber with coil spring.

- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all fasteners to specification. Stabilize suspension before torquing bolt for shock absorber to shock absorber lower bracket. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-157069-S36458799132003080400000) .
- Check front wheel alignment. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
- Turn off ignition.
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove front wheel.
- Remove nuts, bolts and stabilizer bar links. (Scheme 28)
- Remove bolts and right and left stabilizer bar brackets. (Scheme 29)
- Pull out stabilizer bar. Remove both bushings.
- Inspect front stabilizer link ball joint. See «BALL JOINT ROTATION CHECKING»(ref-157069-S17786311712003080400000) under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTION.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Install bushings to stabilizer bar so that cutout of bushing faces front of vehicle. Tighten fasteners to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-157069-S36458799132003080400000).
- Check front wheel alignment. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.

- Remove clip and nut. (Scheme 30)
- Using Special Tool (09610-20012), disconnect steering knuckle and remove from upper ball joint. (Scheme 17)
- Remove bolts and steering knuckle from lower ball joint.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-157069-S36458799132003080400000).
- Check front wheel alignment. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
