1. INSPECT TELEPHONE SWITCH ASSY Disconnect the O6 switch connector. Measure the resistance between the terminals of the switch connector when each switch is pressed. Standard: NG: REPLACE TELEPHONE SWITCH ASSY (See «MAYDAY SYSTEM»(ref-215703) ) OK: Go to next step.
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TELEPHONE SWITCH ASSY - TELEPHONE ECU ASSY) Disconnect the A ECU and O6 switch connectors. Measure the resistance between the wire harness side connectors. Standard: NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TELEPHONE ECU ASSY - REAR SPEAKER ASSY (REAR DOOR LH)) Disconnect the A ECU and R16 speaker connectors. Measure the resistance between the wire harness side connectors. Standard: NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step.
4. CHECK REAR SPEAKER ASSY (REAR DOOR LH) Check that sound is emitted from the rear speaker LH when a radio switch is ON. OK: Radio sound is emitted from the rear speaker LH. NG: GO TO AUDIO SYSTEM (See «PRECAUTION»(ref-209361-S30107638982005120900000) ) OK: REPLACE TELEPHONE ECU ASSY (See «MAYDAY SYSTEM»(ref-215703) )

If the malfunction disappears, proceed to B. B: REPLACE MICROPHONE ASSY (See «MAYDAY SYSTEM»(ref-215703) ) A CHECK MICROPHONE AMPLIFIER ASSY Check that the malfunction disappears when normal microphone amplifier is installed (see «MAYDAY SYSTEM»(ref-215703) ). If the malfunction does not disappear, proceed to A. If the malfunction disappears, proceed to B. 1. CHECK DTC (MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM) Using the hand-held tester, check for DTC B1275 or B1281. OK: Neither of the DTCs are set. NG: GO TO MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See «PRECAUTION»(ref-209386-S01438270532005120900000) ) OK: Go to next step
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (AIRBAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER - TELEPHONE ECU ASSY) Disconnect the A 24 sensor and A ECU connectors. Measure the resistance between the wire harness side connectors. Standard: NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step.
3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TELEPHONE ECU ASSY - BUS BUFFER ECU) Disconnect the A ECU and D ECU connectors. Measure the resistance between the wire harness side connectors. Standard: NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR OK: Go to next step
