- Remove A/C ECU, leaving harness connectors connected. See «A/C ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT»(ref-99101-S36801596042001061800000) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Turn ignition on.
- Backprobe between A/C ECU connector 23/50 terminal No. 37 (White/Blue wire) and No. 42 (Blue/Yellow wire). (Схема №8) See «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-99101-S32973477022001061800000).
- Measure voltage at specified temperatures. See «EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-99101-S17762540582001061800000) table.
- If voltage is as specified, temporarily substitute known-good A/C ECU, then retest system. If voltage is not as specified, test evaporator temperature sensor. See «EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR»(ref-99101-S04935830032001061800000) under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace sensor as necessary. If sensor is okay, go to next step.
- Check wiring harness and connectors between sensor and A/C ECU. Repair as necessary. If wiring harness and connectors are okay, temporarily substitute known-good A/C ECU. Retest system.
| Sensor Temperature -°F (°C) | (1) Volts |
| 32 (0) | 2.0-2.4 |
| 59 (15) | 1.4-1.8 |
| (1) As temperature increases, voltage should decrease. |
