DTC P1100: BAROMETRIC PRESSURE (BARO) SENSOR CKT MALFUNCTION Lexus LS II

CAUTIONIf ECM replacement is instructed in following testing, always ensure ECM harness connector and ground circuit are okay. If either are suspect, repair and repeat testing to confirm ECM malfunction.

Circuit Description

BARO sensor is located inside of ECM. The BARO sensor is used to detect atmospheric (absolute) pressure and outputs corresponding electrical signals. Fluctuations in air pressure cause changes in intake air density, which can cause deviations in air/fuel ratio. Signals from BARO sensor are used to make corrections for these fluctuations. DTC is set if there is an open or short in BARO sensor circuit. Possible cause is

  1. ECM.
