INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note. Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure. When using the Techstream to troubleshoot with the power switch off: Connect the Techstream to the DLC3, and turn the courtesy switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.

  1. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-398241-S22735242352011051600000) . Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. HINT: This inspection is to check the LIN communication line in the instrument panel junction block assembly that connects the wire harness to the built-in main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).   2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY) Disconnect the I1 multiplex network master switch assembly connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.   3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH - BATTERY, BODY GROUND) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.   4. REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Replace the multiplex network master switch assembly. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-398306-S24652425432011051600000) . NEXT: Go to next step
  5. CHECK DTC OUTPUT Clear the DTC. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-398321-S04390048072011051600000) . Recheck for DTCs. OK DTC B1206 is not output. NG --> See step 7 OK --> END (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE)

Note. Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure. When the sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) is replaced or removed and reinstalled, it requires initialization. Refer to INITIALIZATION . When using the Techstream to troubleshoot with the power switch off: Connect the Techstream to the DLC3, and turn the courtesy switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.

Note. If the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) is replaced, register the keys. Refer to REGISTRATION . When using the Techstream to troubleshoot with the power switch off: Connect the Techstream to the DLC3, and turn the courtesy switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT Clear the DTC. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-398321-S04390048072011051600000) . Recheck for DTCs. Result Result Proceed to Only DTC B2321 is output. A DTC B1206 and B2321 are output simultaneously. B HINT: When DTC B1206 and B2321 are output simultaneously, perform troubleshooting for DTC B1206 first. B --> See step 9 A: Go to next step
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MASTER SWITCH - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR) Disconnect the I1 multiplex network master switch assembly connector. Disconnect the I6 power window regulator motor assembly (for driver side) connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.   6. CHECK DTC OUTPUT Clear the DTC. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-398321-S04390048072011051600000) . Check for DTCs. OK DTC B2321 is not output. NG --> See step 8 OK --> END (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE)
  7. REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-398306-S24652425432011051600000)

  5. CHECK DTC OUTPUT Clear the DTC. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-398321-S04390048072011051600000) . Check for DTCs. OK DTC B2324 is not output. NG --> See step 7 OK --> END (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE)

Reconnect the 2D and 2A instrument panel junction block assembly connectors. Clear the DTC. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-398321-S04390048072011051600000) . After 10 seconds have elapsed, check if the DTC is stored again. Check for DTCs again. Result Result Proceed to DTC B2325 is output A DTC B2325 is not output B B --> See step 12 A: Go to next step
  6. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY) Reconnect the K3 power window regulator motor assembly (for rear LH side) connector.   10. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (SLIDING ROOF ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY)) Reconnect the H6 power window regulator motor assembly (for front passenger side) connector. Disconnect the P6 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) connector. Clear the DTC. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-398321-S04390048072011051600000) . When using the Techstream to troubleshoot with the power switch off: Connect the Techstream to the DLC3, and turn the courtesy switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.

HINT

Although "No Response from Steering Lock ECU" is displayed on the Techstream, this message is shown if the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) cannot communicate with the transmission control ECU assembly.
