PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the power switch on (IG) and press the Techstream main switch on. Perform the Active Test according to the prompts displayed on the Techstream. NOTE: Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move. During the Active Test, the jam protection function will not operate.   2. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Initialize the power window regulator motor assembly . Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-386969-S05159189422011022400000) . Check that the power window operates normally by opening and closing the window. OK Power window operates normally. Result Result Proceed to OK A NG (Front LH side power window) B NG (Front RH side power window) C NG (Rear LH side power window) D NG (Rear RH side power window) E E --> See step 7 D --> See step 6 C --> See step 4 B --> See step 5 A: Go to next step
  3. CHECK WHETHER PARTS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY Check that the power window components are installed correctly. OK Power window components are installed correctly. HINT: If the power window components are installed correctly, the problem was caused by a battery disconnection while the power switch was on (IG), improper installation of the power window components, or the motor overheating. NG --> INSTALL PARTS CORRECTLY OK --> END
  4. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to «REMOVAL - Step 20»(ref-387104-S13389567862011022400000)
  5. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to «REMOVAL - Step 20»(ref-387104-S13389567862011022400000)
  6. REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to «REMOVAL - Step 21»(ref-387104-S06605344692011022400000)
  7. REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to «REMOVAL - Step 21»(ref-387104-S06605344692011022400000)
  1. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (APPLICABLE LOCATION) Turn the power switch on (IG) and initialize the power window regulator motor . Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-386969-S05159189422011022400000) . NEXT: Go to next step
  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT Turn the power switch off. Wait for at least 10 seconds, and then turn the power switch on (IG). Check for DTCs. Result Result Proceed to DTC is not output A DTC output from front LH motor B DTC output from front RH motor C DTC output from rear LH motor D DTC output from rear RH motor E E --> See step 6 D --> See step 5 C --> See step 3 B --> See step 4 A --> END (POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM HAS NOT BEEN INITIALIZED)

  5. REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to «REMOVAL - Step 21»(ref-387104-S06605344692011022400000)
  6. REPLACE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to «REMOVAL - Step 21»(ref-387104-S06605344692011022400000)
  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT Check for DTCs. Result Result Proceed to DTC is not output A B2311 is output B B2312 is output C B2313 is output D D --> See step 7 C --> See step 6 B --> See step 4 A: Go to next step
  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW SWITCH) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream ON. Select the following menu items: Body / Master Switch / Data List. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream. MASTER SWITCH: Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note D Door P/W Auto SW Driver side power window AUTO UP / DOWN switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Driver side power window switch is operated (AUTO operation) OFF: Driver side power window switch is not operated - OK ON is displayed on the Techstream screen during AUTO operation. NG --> See step 5 OK --> See step 3
  3. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side). Refer to «REMOVAL - Step 20»(ref-387104-S13389567862011022400000)
  4. GO TO DTC B2311. Refer to «DTC B2311: Power Window Motor Malfunction»(ref-387185-S36139961572011022400000)
  5. REPLACE POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH. Refer to «REMOVAL - Step 9»(ref-387104-S13389567862011022400000)
  6. GO TO DTC B2312. Refer to «DTC B2312: Power Window Switch Malfunction»(ref-387185-S08978718092011022400000)
  7. GO TO DTC B2313. Refer to «DTC B2313: Glass Position Initialization Incomplete»(ref-387185-S06039216672011022400000)
  1. CHECK BASIC FUNCTION (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM AND POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM) Check that the wireless transmitter and driver's door key cylinder (key linked switch) can control all the doors to lock and unlock normally. Result Result Proceed to Transmitter and driver's door key cylinder operate normally A Transmitter does not operate normally B Driver's door key cylinder does not operate normally C C --> See step 5 B --> See step 4 A: Go to next step
  2. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION Check that the manual UP/DOWN function using the master switch and regulator switch can operate all the power windows. OK Manual UP/DOWN functions operate normally. NG --> See step 6 OK: Go to next step
  3. CHECK REMOTE UP / DOWN FUNCTION Check that the remote UP/DOWN function using the master switch can operate the power windows. OK Remote UP/DOWN functions operate normally. NG --> See step 6 OK --> REPLACE BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH)
  4. GO TO WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to «PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE»(ref-387165-S35703019292011022400000)
  5. GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to «PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE»(ref-387164-S30021678632011022400000)
  6. OTHER PROBLEM (GO TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE). Refer to «PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE»(ref-386969-S36535736022011022400000)
  1. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (APPLICABLE LOCATION) Initialize the power window regulator motor assembly (applicable location) . Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-386969-S05159189422011022400000) . Check that the power window operates normally by opening and closing the window. OK AUTO UP / DOWN function operates normally. NG --> See step 2 OK --> END (PROBLEM DUE TO INITIALIZATION FAILURE)
  2. CHECK WINDOW GLASS SLIDING MOVEMENT (APPLICABLE LOCATION) Remove the window regulator. Install the window glass onto the door glass run. Check if the door window regulator operates smoothly. Check that the window glass slides smoothly when sliding it up by hand. OK Door window glass slides smoothly. HINT: Ensure the following: The window glass fits with the glass run without improper contact. Neither deformation nor foreign objects in the glass run. WARNING: Perform initialization again. NG --> FIT WINDOW GLASS CORRECTLY (REMOVE FOREIGN OBJECTS CAUSING IMPROPER FITTING OR REPLACE PARTS) OK --> REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (APPLICABLE LOCATION)
  1. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Initialize the power window regulator motor assembly (applicable location) . Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-386969-S05159189422011022400000) . Check if the power window AUTO UP/DOWN function operates normally. OK AUTO UP/DOWN function operates normally. NG --> END (PROBLEM DUE TO INITIALIZATION FAILURE) OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION OPERATING RANGE Check if the jam protection function operates normally for the applicable power window. HINT: The jam protection function will not operate within 4 mm (0.157 in) of the fully closed position. OK Jam protection function operates normally.
